Design Scope

I worked for the Washington State Historical Society to design their quarterly history magazine as well as design promotional pieces for the Washington State History Museum exhibits and fundraising events.

To produce COLUMBIA, an award-winning history magazine, there is time-consuming image research and requisitions from accredited organizations. There is careful design and layout to compliment the subject. There are photo color-corrections and spot color treatments for two-color printing. There are submitted, print-ready PDFs and finally local press checks. What a rush!

To encourage Washington State History Museum members and patrons to donate, I designed bright, original concepts in Adobe Illustrator to help fund school field trips. Banners, posters, and website graphics were also created.
